This project involving the refurbishment took place in the United Kingdom at the former GAP warehouse, spanning an impressive area of 60,000 square meters (661,000 square feet). This milestone culminated in the leasing of the property to the retail giant Sainsbury’s, marking one of the most significant real estate transactions of the year.
In this project, we encountered severely deteriorated flooring, primarily because the facilities had previously been used as a recycling plant for various types of waste.
As a result, there were numerous stubborn oil, grease, and other liquid stains that were challenging to remove. Additionally, the presence of heavy machinery and vehicles had taken its toll on the floor. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive solution, the property owner, Prologis, reached out to us to expedite the restoration process and subsequently apply a polished concrete treatment. This would enable them to lease the space to a new client, effectively addressing the existing issues.

The duration of the project varies depending on the floor’s condition and size. Typically, for a standard-sized industrial unit, it takes approximately 3-5 days to complete from start to finish. As a general guideline, we can typically handle around 1000 square meters per day, but we have the flexibility to adjust the pace to meet the specific requirements of the project.
