Route A — Recoating or repairing with epoxy

Useful only in isolated cases.
This route can be applied to small cosmetic issues but is generally a temporary solution. Frequent recoats increase downtime and maintenance costs.

Limitations: colour matching on aged coatings, visible blend lines, and the likelihood of bond or moisture failuresreturning.
Conclusion: fine for small touch-ups, but not sustainable for active industrial floors.

Challenge: Following the departure of the previous tenant, sections of the warehouse floor were covered with worn and damaged epoxy resin coatings. The deteriorated surface, together with other floor defects, prevented the concrete slab from being refurbished and prepared for the next logistics operator within a very tight handover programme.
Solution delivered: Removal of the damaged epoxy resin coatings using controlled mechanical grinding methods, restoring the concrete substrate without causing unnecessary damage. Once the coatings had been removed, the floor was repaired where required and prepared for the application of the patented BECOSAN® concrete treatment.
