BECOSAN® Project | GreenLight, Southampton, UK

In 2025, BECOSAN® completed an industrial floor refurbishment project for GreenLight in Southampton. GreenLight is a UK-based engineering group specialising in commercial fit-out, facilities management and renewable energy services, with a strong focus on sustainability.

The project was initially limited to localised floor repairs. However, after assessing the real condition of the existing concrete slab, the scope evolved into a more complete intervention, including 1,500 m² of BECOSAN® treatment.

The floor showed severe wear and heavily grooved areas, making intensive grinding necessary across approximately 250 m² in order to restore a more uniform and functional surface. Throughout the project, extensive repair and refurbishment works were also carried out, including the repair of 100 linear metres of cracks, 650 patch and localised surface repairs, as well as the refurbishment and sealing of 2,200 linear metres of joints.

Approximately 250 linear metres of existing paint markings were also removed from the floor to properly prepare the surface prior to the treatment application.

The full project was completed over a 16-week period, adapting the works to the actual condition of the slab and delivering a stronger, cleaner and more durable surface for continued industrial use.
