Installation process

Our installation process for chemical-resistant floors

We use a 4-step method to install acid-resistant and lab flooring designed for high durability, safety, and low maintenance. With the capacity to treat over 10,000 sq. ft. per day, we ensure minimal disruption to your operations.

Surface preparation

We mechanically grind the concrete using industrial equipment equipped with integrated dust extraction systems. This removes old coatings, levels the slab, and opens up the pores for maximum product absorption—essential in any science lab flooring or chemical lab flooring application.

Deep densification

Once prepared, we apply the BECOSAN® lithium-based densifier. This solution penetrates the concrete and reacts with its components to internally harden the structure. The densification process enhances mechanical durability and improves chemical resistance, protecting the floor against cleaning agents, diluted acids, and occasional chemical spills. It is a key step for achieving a stable and long-lasting industrial chemical resistant flooring system.

Technical polishing

Following densification, the surface is polished using diamond abrasives to refine the texture and improve functionality. This creates a joint-free, seamless surface that is easier to clean and resistant to wear. In the chemical industry, where spillage, residues and heavy traffic are common, a smooth and closed surface improves both hygiene and safety.

Sealing and final finishing

In the final step, we apply the BECOSAN® sealant to close the concrete’s microstructure and protect the surface against dust and liquid penetration. A final polishing stage follows, which defines the floor’s final finish and ensures optimal performance. The result is a dust-proof, acid resistant flooring system that is easy to maintain and ready for normal use within 24 to 48 hours.
